Rachel Amar speaking about her son Max who is one of our ventilator dependent children:

He is receiving much more therapy and services here than he received anywhere else. He is going to school now and receiving therapeutic activities such as music therapy. In the rehab facility [where he was before this] after the first year he had stopped receiving rehabilitation therapy and they did not want to take on the liability of sending him to school so he really was not getting anything. Now he is much more alert. He is always smiling, especially when he is in school. He is definitely aware of his surroundings. He laughsÂ… he is always laughing. The changes have been very positive.

The staff here is very helpful and accomodating. I am very happy with everyone and the level of care is wonderful, very professional.

I feel like everyone is more of a family here. I have noticed that everyone is much more involved; everybody gets involved with the life of the neighborhood.
