Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center

The Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center is a 137-bed healthcare organization providing quality specialized nursing/rehabilitation care to medically fragile children with differing levels of abilities. These children and their families are the focus of all that we do.

Some children are referred to our health center after surgery for a few weeks of rehabilitation; others, with long-term needs for specialized care, may stay for years; and still others are receiving end-of-life care. Each child receives an individualized plan of care involving a trans-disciplinary team of professionals from the disciplines of Medicine, Nursing, Social Services, Palliative Care, Mental Health Care, Rehabilitation, Education, Nutrition, Child Life/Therapeutic Activities, and Pastoral Care among others.

The Pediatric Center consists of six unit-based team neighborhoods, each providing the highest quality of resident care. The “Neighborhood” approach allows for the decentralization of services, ensuring that care and activities are focused and arranged around the child and family. This structure empowers our staff to develop focused innovative care plans, while also strengthening the bond between our resident children and their care providers.
